As of this September we are now offering vasectomy and vasectomy reversal in our newly renovated office in Raleigh, North Carolina. We have recently undergone a name change from Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center to His Choice.
Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center: Why the name change?
Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center was founded by Dr. Gary Berger over 15 years ago. The surgical center exclusively offered sterilization reversal and surgery to repair blocked fallopian tubes.
I joined Dr. Berger in 2008 and began my career in microsurgical sterilization reversal. When I started I had considerable experience with no-scalpel vasectomy. As I acquired experience in microsurgical sterilization reversal, I also began to learn the techniques required for vasectomy reversal.
In 2013 I became Medical Director of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center and I made the decision to move the center to Raleigh, North Carolina. This move allowed me to provide better amenities to my patients and offered closer access to Raleigh Durham Airport.
How His Choice was created?
I was eager to incorporate no-scalpel vasectomy and vasectomy reversal as a main service of my newly acquired practice. It quickly became obvious to me it was confusing to have a practice named Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center…when the physical location was in Raleigh! Also confusing to potential patients considering vasectomy was a name that contained “Tubal Reversal”. For those who are considering vasectomy, tubal reversal is not the first thought that comes to mind!
Due to my extensive experience in both female and male fertility and infertility, I quickly came to the realization patients have to make very personal choices about management of their fertility or infertility.
It was then I decided to call my new practice “His Choice”. Since the imagery and information about sterilization reversal and vasectomy are vastly different, I decided to create and maintain two websites to provide information about tubal and vasectomy reversal and vasectomy:

I offer vasectomy without judgment or bias. I only require you be above the age of 21 and be able to provide informed consent.
I am the only vasectomy provider who offers patients the choice of having a single visit vasectomy procedure and the option of returning semen samples back through the mail.
I am the only provider of His Choice Vasectomy in Raleigh and the surrounding areas.

I bring extensive surgical experience with me to vasectomy reversal.
