Vasectomy: Permanent Birth Control In Less Than 15 Minutes
Once the titanium clip has been applied the procedure site is then carefully inspected for bleeding and the divided vas deferens is replaced within the scrotal skin. The left vas deferens will be isolated and divided using the same skin opening as was used for the right vas deferens.
The no-scalpel opening is very small. Once tension is released the scrotal muscles will hold the skin edges together and allow this opening to heal without needing any suture.
Not using suture is a big advantage because sutures placed in the scrotal skin are irritating, take 7 to 14 days to dissolve, and can cause uncomfortable itching.
Although minimal spotting can occur from the skin opening, the no scalpel opening will heal closed within three (3) to five (5) days.
